CW

A Continuous Wave (CW) is an electromagnetic wave of constant amplitude and frequency. The output of energy (usually light) is continuous and takes the form of a sine wave. This is quite different from the flow of a Pulse Wave (PW), which results in periodic, non-sonusoidal bursts of energy.

There are many CW applications in science, engineering and communications. This web site is under construction, but if you are looking to use CW technology for your next project, please visit Edinburgh Instruments or Coherent.
